Next to Upper Arlington, northwest of Columbus, the Highpoint-Glen neighborhood residential community between I-270 and U.S. 33 sits within a beautiful nature reserve area of Columbus. Highpoint-Glen presents annual festivals and events of the Upper Arlington Civic Association, including a Fourth of July parade and fireworks, Labor Day Arts Festival and Halloween festival. Parks & Recreation events like the Winter Festival and Tree Lighting, Spring Fling, Summer Celebration and Fall Fest also exist.

Many local events include Chamber’s Taste of USA festival and the summer Movie in the Park program. The city’s Cultural Arts Division holds a summer Music in the Park series with various local art showcases throughout the season as well. With Mallway Park at the core of business district a memorial to U.S. military veterans from Upper Arlington, Wyandot Park also holds the grave and stone monument to Bill Moose, the final Wyandot.

Duranceaux Park, a small private park just to the east of Highpoint-Glen, with a playground, a walking and jogging trail as well as plenty of room for dog play and walking. This park includes several outdoor activity locations in addition to standard pavilions, such as a thorough Indian Village and home of the Scioto Boat Club linked to the Scioto River. Fancyburg Park, another small Upper Arlington location, provides a nice little area just east of Highpoint-Glen with a large playground and several other activities. Residents enjoy nearby tennis courts, walking and jogging trail, baseball field, soccer field and the well-known included dog park . Upper Arlington manages city parks with extensive athletic facilities, historical function and wooded nature preserves. Griggs Reservoir Park, a famous local park, holds challenging disc golf and beautiful scenery along with access to boating, picnicking, playgrounds and open shelter houses for all your events. A lighted walking trail and woods and wildlife area, providing over two miles of trails for walking, jogging and biking alike. Another large Upper Arlington area, Northam Park hosts many annual city events including the Fourth of July parade and Labor Day Arts Festival. This park is also home to the Public Library, St. Agatha Church and one of the UA schools while it includes a pool, tennis courts and baseball fields for a vast amount of UA public activity.
