Jeffersonville is a quaint, charming village in Cambridge, Vermont that less than 1,000 people call home. This village resides at the junction of the Brewster and Lamoille Rivers at the base of Vermont’s tallest peak, Mount Mansfield. For such a small town, there’s a surprising number of antique and art shops for tourists and residents alike. Try the bustling Cambridge Village Market for fresh meats, produce, and the largest selection of beer and wine in the area, or travel down the street to the Farm Store for local culinary specialties. Downtown, you’ll find 158 Main, a delicious restaurant and bakery, as well as the Smugglers’ Notch Inn, a historic inn built in 1790 featuring guest rooms, bakery, restaurant, and pub. For views of some of Vermont’s most stunning landscapes, go for a drive up scenic Route 108. Jefferson is a great place to get away from it all.

The resort caters to families and has been rated the top family resort in the east by Ski Magazine for the past 15 years. Residents can be found outside in all four seasons, working or playing. This pristine, mountain village is not for everyone, but if you love the outdoors and the beauty of quiet New England towns, it might just be for you.

Many people come to this part of Vermont to explore Vermont’s highest peak, Mount Mansfield. An apartment in Jeffersonville will put you right at the base of the mountain and all that it has to offer. Route 108 travels between Jeffersonville and Stowe, is an officially designated scenic byway and take you through some of Vermont’s most stunning landscapes. Although closed in the winter, many people travel this route in the summer months, stopping to shop, swim, or sightsee along the way. Jeffersonville is also home of the Cambridge Junction Covered Bridge, located a short walk from the village. The Grist Mill covered bridge is located just south of Jeffersonville on the Brewster River and is a popular swimming spot with the locals. Visitors will be delighted with a visit to The Smugglers’ Notch Inn, a historic inn, built in 1790, featuring eleven guest rooms, a bakery, restaurant, and pub.

This tiny village at the base of Mount Mansfield has a surprising number of shops for tourists and residents alike. For groceries, head to the bustling Cambridge Village Market, specializing in the freshest meats and produce, and the largest selection of wine and beer in the area. The Farm Store, just down the street, sells all sorts of local culinary specialties, from trail-mix to fresh strawberries.
