Area Guide
The park and river are just the beginning for this trendy neighborhood
Situated between the Anacostia River and the Anacostia Freeway roughly six miles west of Downtown Washington DC, Kenilworth is a small neighborhood that's nearly consumed with the spectacular Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens. This large park features hiking trails along the river and is ideal for birdwatching, wildlife viewing, and picnicking. Kenilworth Marsh, located in the park, is DC's only remaining tidal marsh.
