Rentals in this neighborhood are affordable to mid-range and include charming pueblo-style houses and modern apartments. Ladera West has several parks and the Ladera Golf Course on the western part of the neighborhood provides a lush backdrop for several homes, so residents can spend plenty of time outdoors. The Petroglyph National Monument is a popular spot for hiking as well. Ladera West is predominantly residential but there are a few casual restaurants and shops in the southern corner and on the outskirts of the neighborhood.
