Wedged between Monroe Street and Thomasville Road, the Lake Ella neighborhood separates Midtown from Midtown West. Lake Ella is about one mile north of Downtown Tallahassee. The neighborhood's namesake lake provides beauty and recreation, surrounded by moss-filled trees, a walking path, and picnic areas. Because Lake Ella is next door to one of Tallahassee's most popular neighborhoods -- Midtown -- it is home to a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes. Residents enjoy the Liberty Bar and Restaurant, RedEye Coffee-Midtown, and Midtown Caboose.
