Leeds Gate-Colonial Village is a perfect location for shopping -- Oglethorpe Mall is adjacent to the neighborhood on its northeast side, and Savannah Mall is to the southwest. For golfers, the Hunter Golf Club borders the neighborhood on its north end.

Only about five miles from Leeds Gate-Colonial Village, Wormsloe Historic Site features a sun-dappled lane sheltered by towering oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. The road leads to the tabby ruins of the Wormsloe Estate, a colonial estate built in 1733 by Noble Jones. Jones was one of the original settlers of Savannah, arriving with James Oglethorpe in 1733. The estate is the oldest standing structure in Savannah, and well worth a visit. Be sure to stop by the museum to see the artifacts found at the site.
