Living in Little Village has been fine overall. Great rent prices, a lot of very friendly neighbors. However its a very unsafe neighborhood at certain hours. A lot of Gangs

Little Village is my horrible dangerous home. People get shot, attacked, kidnapped, and sexually harassed. This is not a welcoming place. Im in fear of mine and my family's life everyday. Don't move here.

It can be dangerous at times but it has a nice sense of community. Growing up here was quite calm. It is made up of primarily Mexican and Mexican-American population. Over the summer there are countless outdoor activities and fests that can be enjoyable for both kids and adults. Neighbors know each other and often make block parties as well. 26th street is a beautiful place with a lot of places worth checking out. There is a nice split between homes and businesses and is the "second highest grossing shopping district in the city." There are plenty of parks constantly filled with kids. Often organizations arrange family events with activities encouraging children to go out and play. It can be unsafe because of the gangs but I personally haven't had any negative experiences with them.
