I moved to Williamston when I was 9. Though I live in Williamston, Okemos is where I do just about everything. My schooling and employment have all been in Okemos. My family even does all of our grocery shopping in Okemos. Truly I think it is a great place to be. It also has many parks and lovely nature spaces. My one complaint about Okemos is that sometimes it does feel like you have done it all. Most things are closed before 10 pm and it just feels like there is nothing to do, even when that sentiment is not true.

Okemos is a really nice town. We have great looking, neat neighborhoods tucked between the countryside and the greater busy cities around Lansing. Lots of stores and our own mall are conveniently located near the middle. And, Okemos is quite safe, too.

Just moved here in Sept. 2023 and have had a great experience thus far. Out of the lansing area that I've been around for years, Okemos is by far the place to be. Work opportunities for any range of educational degree are phenomenal and the community itself, especially inside the christian church is phenomenal. Clean, professional, welcoming community and with lots to do being in MSUs backyard and very close to downtown East Lansing.

The race of the community is diverse. People are friendly and welcoming. There are lots of convenient stores at close proximity. I hope that the restaurant qualities are better and there were more diverse cuisines.
