Just northwest of Miami between the Everglades and the sun-drenched beaches of South Florida's east coast, you'll find the small city of Miramar. Monarch Lakes is on Miramar's west side, flanked by Flamingo Road to the east, SW 21 Street to the north, and the Ronald Reagan Turnpike to the south. This neighborhood provides numerous options for houses and condos for rent north of Miramar Parkway. The Parkway runs through the center of Monarch Lakes, offering residents easy access to the east coast beaches, roughly 12 miles east. Take I-95 south to reach Miami, roughly 20 miles away.

The center of Monarch Lakes gives locals numerous shopping and eating options, including Blue Ginger Seafood Steakhouse, which serves hibachi meals, sushi and more. The Parkway also hosts several small shopping centers where residents can take afternoon strolls between shops while enjoying the open tropical air. At the center of the neighborhood, Monarch Lakes Park provides a playground and benches for relaxing beneath the palm trees.
