In addition to the close proximity to New York City, Nanuet also sits adjacent to the facilities of Urban Electric Power and Pfizer in neighboring Pearl River. At the center of town, the Shops at Nanuet mall anchors an extensive retail collective that stretches across much of the hamlet, with more large shopping centers like the Palisades Center nearby as well. Harriman State Park is just a few minutes to the northwest, providing a terrific venue for outdoor recreation anytime.
