Natalbany is a small town in suburban Louisiana with a rural feel. The residential parts of town offer large lots, tree-lined streets, and affordable homes and apartments. Natalbany offers good public schools and a family-friendly atmosphere. There is a college-town vibe in Natalbany due to its proximity to Southeastern Louisiana University. Although Natalbany is mainly residential, the town has easy access to nearby communities that offer supermarkets, restaurants, convenience stores, and various retailers. The city of Hammond is only four miles south of town, and is home to an Amtrak station, local restaurants and pubs, and city parks. Nestled along Interstate 95, Natalbany residents can easily travel to major cities. New Orleans sits about 60 miles south of town, and Baton Rouge is only 50 miles west.
