Newington has a great community, with proximity to many other great towns and Hartford. With proximity to Central Connecticut State University there are many younger people here. We have a skate park, many walking trails, strong public transportation, schools, and clean and safe streets.

Newington is a great place to live! There are many opportunities that are centrally located. The school system is great!

I have lived in Newington for 10 years. When I first moved here is was generally quite and safe feeling. When the fast track bus stations were built connecting the town to Hartford the area has become more urban. I used to safely walk down the main strip with my dog but now I have had things thrown at me such as beer cans, water balloons and cigarettes. I have had cars drive by with people screaming or beeping to scare me. The rate of vehicle theft has gone through the roof. I would not recommend moving to Newington anymore. Ten years ago maybe, but not now.

I like it's a small town, things are close to each other. This town is also close to most other towns. There's many places to eat, activities to do, the mall nearby. It's in the middle of many places and is convenient.
