I love the public school system. There is great accessibility in regards to grocery stores. It's very close to neighboring towns that offer numerous dining opportunities and nightlife. Overall, it feels very safe here.

I have lived in Newington for 10 years. When I first moved here is was generally quite and safe feeling. When the fast track bus stations were built connecting the town to Hartford the area has become more urban. I used to safely walk down the main strip with my dog but now I have had things thrown at me such as beer cans, water balloons and cigarettes. I have had cars drive by with people screaming or beeping to scare me. The rate of vehicle theft has gone through the roof. I would not recommend moving to Newington anymore. Ten years ago maybe, but not now.

I would like to see a lot of change. I think that the streets for one need to be changed. The public school system is terrible to live in.
