North Bay Shore, one of the oldest hamlets in central Long Island, proudly proclaims itself the "Heart of Long Island’s South Shore.” Residents enjoy the tranquility of a waterfront community and convenient access to road or rail lines leading into Manhattan, which is 48 miles east. Rentals in the neighborhood offer residents access to beaches, boating docks,and plenty of fishing spots – especially at Belmont Lake State Park. Locals shop at the Gardiner Manor Mall for routine purchases, but rave about Raindrops & Roses and their elegant floral arrangements.

Residents of North Bay Shore look forward to the annual performing arts extravaganza, summer concert series,and the cross-bay swim competition. North Bay Shore has been the site of two movies: Married to the Mob and What Happens in Vegas. A beautiful bay view and fantastic food makes the Lake House a popular dinner destination for locals.

Around my area I can find everything I need the mall is very convenient and everything else is as well. I have nothing to complain about

A lot of places around town require kids to at least be 18 years of age. Kids under that age aren't really considered to work very often so they can't find jobs. A lot of kids do want to work but don't have the opportunity to due to their age.
