The neighborhood of North Tampa sits eight miles directly north of downtown Tampa on I-275. North Tampa is roughly two miles southwest of the University of South Florida, roughly a mile from University Mall, two miles northwest of Busch Gardens theme park, and roughly three miles west of Adventure Island water park. With no end to the nearby entertainment, North Tampa residents are also near Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, Rogers Park Golf Course, and Grand Prix Tampa. When you want Florida's white-sand beaches, head roughly 20 miles west to Honeymoon Island State Park and Caladesi Island State Park, where you can enjoy shelling, beachcombing, sunbathing, swimming, fishing, paddle-boarding, and more.
