A historic fixture of Indy’s academic community

Private Historic Urban Small Greyhounds

Since its founding in 1902, the University of Indianapolis has built a strong reputation as one of the finest institutions in the state—in fact, it is widely recognized as one of the top-ranked regional universities in the Midwest. Serving a student population of just over 5,000, U Indy provides the atmosphere and sense of community typical of a small college while benefiting from its location in one of America’s biggest and most vibrant cities.

Five miles south of Downtown Indianapolis, living near the university puts you just minutes away from Indy’s wealth of attractions and cultural offerings. Large public greenspaces like Lilly Recreation Park and Garfield Park provide excellent venues for enjoying the fresh air, while the city center is a goldmine of terrific dining, shopping, and nightlife, with a backdrop of magnificent architecture and a legendary collection of public artwork on display. The U Indy campus itself is mostly surrounded by residential neighborhoods, with many affordable apartments, houses, and condos within walking distance.
