Headquarters for an international academic powerhouse

Private Suburban Gorloks Walkable

Webster University’s suburban Saint Louis campus serves as the home base for an institution that operates facilities all across the country and in several foreign countries. The international presence means that many American students study abroad, and the home campus in Saint Louis serves many students from around the globe. On the northeast corner of the university, a group of popular hangouts sits close enough to drop in for a lunch break, including the Saint Louis-style Imo’s Pizza and the Cajun fare of Hwy 61 Roadhouse. A few blocks west of campus, the Webster Groves community features a charming cluster of restaurants and bars along Lockwood Avenue, including The Block, a mouthwatering butcher shop and bistro.

Downtown Saint Louis is just twenty minutes down the road, putting you within arm’s reach of the city’s greatest attractions, resources, and entertainment. Most of the area surrounding the campus is residential, and rentals within walking distance of the university are plentiful. For the easiest commute, you’ll want to look for an apartment, condo, or rental house north of Interstate 44, with the area just west of campus providing the beast access to both the school and the nearby commercial district.
