Serving a student population of around 5,000, Lee University is a private Christian institution located in the Appalachian foothills of southeast Tennessee. The university has grown considerably over the past two decades, and is nationally ranked as one of the best colleges for veterans and one of the best values in higher education. Lee University is known for requiring chapel attendance, community service, and study abroad participation for its degree programs. Although there is a heavy emphasis on theology, the university specializes in fields ranging from business to music.

Lee University’s hometown of Cleveland is a fairly small city about forty minutes north of Chattanooga. The main campus is surrounded by quiet residential neighborhoods, with Downtown only a few blocks away.
