UNT Mean Green Scrappy the Eagle Lively Diverse Welcoming

The University of North Texas sits just 40 miles north of the Dallas Fort Worth Metro Area, touting the advantages of a college town as well as those of a major metropolis. Founded in 1890, UNT is one of the nation’s largest universities fueling creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and progress. UNT offers over 100 bachelor’s degree programs, including the country’s first undergraduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis and the country’s first Jazz Studies program.

There are plenty of apartments around UNT to choose from. The buildings on campus are spread out, so it may be wise to focus on finding accommodations near the buildings you most frequent. Students and faculty of the English Department, Mayborn School of Journalism, and the Psychology Clinic might want to look for rentals on the north side of campus while College of Business students and faculty would benefit from renting on the south side of UNT. The University of North Texas is also accessible from I-35E and I-35W, for those considering a longer commute.

Over 400 student organizations, the Murchison Performing Arts Center, Apogee Stadium, and Downtown Denton provide plenty of things to do near UNT.
