Set in northeastern Laredo near Lake Casa Bianca, Texas A&M International University is a highly-respected, public university founded in 1970. TAMIU is as diverse as the city that surrounds it, providing a variety of bachelor and master's degree programs, as well as a doctoral degree in International Business. The campus is located on 300 acres, a few minutes north of the Laredo International Airport. The TAMIU Dust Devils compete in the Heartland Conference as part of NCAA Division II. Sports teams include basketball, baseball, and golf.
