SLCC’s Taylorsville Redwood Campus is the largest and oldest campus of Utah’s largest two-year college. As the main campus for the college, this location is home to the main facilities for applied technology, business, construction trades, technology, and science and industry. Many students use the school’s resources as a stepping stone toward attending four-year institutions, with many eventually transferring to the University of Utah in particular.
This campus’ location in the Salt Lake City suburbs is surrounded by both residential neighborhoods and pockets of commercial activity: Grocery stores and restaurants line Redwood Road just south of the campus, making it easy to grab a bite to eat or pick up everyday necessities without going far. Just up the road, shopping centers like the Valley Fair Mall and Salt Lake’s Indoor Swap Meet are popular weekend destinations. Living near the campus also puts you just minutes away from downtown Salt Lake City as well as the superb ski resorts in the nearby mountains.
