Founded in 1847, Carthage College is a four-year private college of liberal arts and sciences affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Carthage combines an environment of reflection and self-discovery with a culture of high expectation so students uncover and ignite their true potential.

The Carthage campus is an 80-acre arboretum located on the shore of Lake Michigan, midway between Milwaukee and Chicago.
