Hosted by the Olde Sawmill Civic Association, several events bring the residents together within the neighborhood each year. A holiday Santa ride, Easter egg hunt and Fourth of July parade are among the annual community events.

Although there are no museums within the neighborhood itself, Columbus is a city steeped in history, and there are several museums and historical centers in the nearby and surrounding neighborhoods.
