Hollywood Boulevard bisects the neighborhood, while I-95 forms the eastern border. Much of the south end of the neighborhood consists of the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club. There’s also a marina for renting paddleboats, kayaks, canoes, and johnboats.
Park East is the ideal neighborhood, providing a mix of apartments and houses, several canals, and a large shopping plaza in the center of the neighborhood that includes a Publix supermarket, Target, GameStop, and popular restaurants. After moving to a Park East apartment, be sure to stop by El Rey De La Medialuna – a bakery featuring Argentinian medialunas.
Hollywood provides some of the best beaches in Florida, and Park East residents have fast access to them – just take Hollywood Boulevard roughly three miles east and you’ll find Hollywood Beach. Take Ocean Drive north and you’ll find Dania Beach Ocean Park, a terrific beach with a fishing pier. Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park is a more natural destination, featuring a mangrove-lined waterway for canoeing and bird-watching, a gorgeous beach for swimming, surfing, beachcombing, and fishing, picnic areas, boat ramps, hiking and bicycling trails, and opportunities for scuba diving and snorkeling.
