A charming and secluded island community just minutes from NYC

Coastal Beach Scenic Suburban Tourism Boating Fishing Walkable

Point Lookout is a small, relatively isolated community at the east end of the Long Beach Barrier Island. Mostly composed of residential suburban streets, a few shops and restaurants are scattered throughout—drop into Salt Air Café on Lido Street for your morning coffee, or drop into the Buoy Bar on Bayside for a cocktail in the evening.

The community is surrounded on three sides by water (including the Atlantic Ocean to the south), so boating and fishing are quite popular here. Of course, the local beaches are a major draw for locals and visitors alike.
