Within riverside there are some good streets and then other areas that you have to be a little more cautious around, specifically at night. However it isnt a terrible place to live, it can get a little loud though outside with loud music and/or people screaming or being loud but overall not the worst part of town to live

Grocery/drugstores in this area are easy to access because there is just about one on every corner. They are extremely convenient and you can get everything you need in this area.
