Beach Coastal Ocean Safe Low Crime Upscale Boating Fishing

South Palm Beach is a small oceanfront community on one of South Florida’s scenic barrier islands, just offshore from Lake Worth. The permanent local population hovers around 1,000, but thanks to the year-round sunshine and warmth the population often quadruples during the winter months. Nearly every apartment, condo, and house in town enjoys waterfront property, facing either the Atlantic Ocean on the east side or the Intracoastal Waterway on the west side. While the town proper is almost entirely residential, you’ll have convenient access to a cluster of popular restaurants and shops along Ocean Avenue to the south, with many more eateries and bars across the bridge on the mainland. Stop into the Dune Deck Café to have your morning coffee while watching the surf roll in, or drop by Basil for dinner under the stars. In your leisure time, you’ll be in a prime location to get into favorite local pastimes like boating, fishing, and of course lounging on the beach.
