State Fair includes the State Fairgrounds and Chaldean Town communities. State Fair was the former location of the Michigan State Fairgrounds, which hosted the annual state fair, along with concerts, horse races, car shows, and other special events. Today, State Fair is a rising neighborhood with redevelopment projects already underway. State Fair has affordable rentals but there are more expensive options available as well. There is a small shopping center in the northwest corner of the neighborhood for residents to enjoy, but there are a variety of diverse restaurants nearby as well.
