The Embarcadero, San Francisco's famous waterfront neighborhood that stretches from Pier 39 to AT&T Park (home of the San Francisco Giants), offers amazing views of the bay, especially along the San Francisco Bay Trail. Piers line the Embarcadero, and four of them (piers 1, 1 1/2, 3, and 5) are included in the Central Embarcadero Piers Historic District. These famous piers date back to 1918.

Getting around San Francisco from your new apartment in the Embarcadero will be easy -- the Embarcadero Station serves as a Bart and Muni Metro station and is considered one of the Bay Area's major transportation hubs, serving more than 45,000 during the week. The iconic Ferry Building on the neighborhood's south end houses the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, a popular local favorite open several days each week.

The Embarcadero is considered part of the Financial District, and it is home to the Embarcadero Center, a complex with five office towers and two hotels. The center also offers restaurants, shops, and a movie theater. Roughly 14,000 people work at the multi-use center.
