Topanga is a sparsely-developed community located about an hour west of Downtown Los Angeles, stretching from the beach up to Calabasas. Situated amid the peaks and forests of the Santa Monica Mountains, residents of Topanga are surrounded by the lush natural beauty of Southern California and enjoy terrific access to trails and beaches as well as the urban resources of the LA area.

A small cluster of businesses along Topanga Canyon Boulevard serves as a Downtown district of sorts, with hip cafes, grocers, and specialty shops serving as popular local hangouts. Topanga has long been recognized as a major artists’ colony, cultivating a bohemian atmosphere and hosting events like the Topanga Film Festival, Topanga Earth Day, and the Topanga Days Festival, which draw folks from all across the region.
