Uptown is where Greenville comes to play. The Uptown District is filled with art galleries, breweries, theaters, and events like First Friday Artwalks. It is also part of the Pitt County Brew & 'Cue Trail, which highlights places like Bum's Restaurant, Pitt Street Brewing Company, the Duck-Rabbit Craft Brewery, Sam Jones BBQ, and Uptown Brewing Company. At the north end of Uptown Greenville, the Town Common is a gathering spot for community events. The Uptown District begins along the northwest side of East Carolina University and is a popular destination for students.
