I just moved here from Michigan in August. I love it. I feel so welcomed and there is everything I could ever need right in the area.

I have lived in Venice my entire life and I have loved it. I love the sense of community whether it is a parade, the football team, or a fun event. However, Venice has been growing regarding the population. There have been too many trees being cut down and too many houses built. I miss the nature of Venice and what it used to be.

It is very nice but there is a large elderly population and a lot of traffic. The city is well developed and there a lot of things to do.

I grew up in New England, MA, and purchased a place in Venice in 2021. As a man in his mid-50's with a wife & older children, Venice is a welcome home for a nice, quiet, peaceful & relatively safe way of life. You need to love the beaches & mellow vibe lifestyle to enjoy it I think. Younger millennials would prefer Tampa, maybe Sarasota but if you're done with the fast paced party lifestyle & want a simpler, more nature-filled life than it's the place for you. Great schools, restaurants, access to Sarasota & Ft. Myers / Naples & most of all beaches. People are nice, helpful & kind. Want Animal House- Spring Break Gone Wild, don't come here.
