A North Carolina town that’s light on traffic and heavy on history

Rural Historic Close-Knit Outdoors Quiet

Wadesboro is a modest small town about 19 miles west of Rockingham and 53 miles east of Charlotte. A charming Main Street area and historic buildings give Wadesboro a unique character among the landscape of small Southern towns. Low-lying apartment communities and single-family home rentals make up the bulk of the offerings in Wadesboro. Residents enjoy access to familiar chain restaurants and a few locally owned businesses that attract the locals as well.

Once you’ve been dazzled by the friendliness of Wadesboro residents, head north to the Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge or take a stroll around town and appreciate the historic buildings. This is a perfect locale for those who like peace and quiet or a down-home atmosphere.
