Experience the tight-knit community atmosphere of the City of Sculpture

Historic Nature Outdoors Rural Parks Arts

Waupun is a small, secluded city located about twenty miles southwest of Fond du Lac on Highway 151. Nicknamed the “City of Sculpture,” Waupun is well known for its abundant public statues commissioned by industrialist Clarence Shaler in the early 20th century, most famously the iconic “The End of the Trail” in Shaler Park. The community is filled with beautifully preserved historic homes and buildings, with the vintage storefronts downtown still hosting a variety of locally-owned shops, restaurants, and neighborhood pubs.

Public parks of every size are scattered across the community, easily within walking distance for most residents. A vast nature preserve surrounds Horicon Marsh just east of town, providing a lush environment for you to get up close and personal with the region’s wildlife.
