Fifty miles north of Tampa and just minutes inland from the Gulf of Mexico, Weeki Wachee is a quiet community that captures the timeless charm of old Florida. While the city proper boasts a permanent population of only around a dozen people, the town is surrounded by suburban neighborhoods filled with houses of every shape and size. The local rental market is full of affordable options, including many units overlooking the area’s lakes and waterways. Lakewood Plaza shopping center just southwest of town anchors the nearest retail area, where you can pick up everything from groceries to hardware and everything in between.
