West Markham is one of Little Rock’s best neighborhoods to live in. This suburban neighborhood provides residents with a variety of amenities and boasts an amazing location. Along with being under 15 minutes away from Downtown Little Rock, West Markham is convenient to the Little Rock Zoo, War Memorial Stadium, and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The cost of living in Little Rock is lower than many cities and similarly, West Markham has a wide variety of affordable and mid-range rentals available. Interstates 430 and 630 make traveling around Little Rock easy.

My husband and I grew up in this neighborhood and our families continue to live there. It does feel dodgy at times (especially over by the apartments on Ellis) but overall it's quiet and filled with a diverse group of people. At times when there are lots of renters, and the homes get shabby. Crime on Reservoir can be heard at night. People overall care for their homes. There is a NHA with a neighborhood pool. 15 minutes can take you anywhere in town from here. Best part about living here is the mixed bag of homes. Homes have been invested in and you can turn a profit if you put some money in (parents did it twice in this neighborhood.)

There is high crime here, from robberies to homicide. The police need to make a better effort to show their presence!

There are numerous gyms, but they are never packed, just a few here any there, but you see quite a bit of people jogging outside
