The community within West University is very welcoming and safe. The West University Place police are constantly patrolling, however, not overbearing. Parents trust their young kids to ride bikes by themselves. Very safe neighborhood.

West University is a beautiful, quiet, safe suburb of Houston. It is an excellent place for families. There are several parks, as well as the neighborhood is nice to walk through. In the evenings, families come outside to ride bikes, walk, and play with their pets and children.

West University Place is an AMAZING city to work, go to school, live, and to raise children. It is very quiet and lots of businesses ( grocery stores, restaurants, stores, etc.) are within walking and short driving distance.
