Resting on the southern end of Chesapeake Bay, Wythe is a historic neighborhood with its beautiful architecture and breathtaking waterfront views. Wythe has affordable rentals in a variety of styles, including brick bungalows, colonial-style dwellings, and cozy apartments. Named after one of the original signers of the Declaration of Independence, this historic neighborhood is now a diverse, suburban neighborhood in an excellent location. Along with housing several casual restaurants, small stores, and parks, Wythe residents enjoy easy access to major attractions and destinations in Hampton. Wythe is convenient to the Langley Air Force Base, the Virginia Air and Space Center, the Hampton Coliseum, and more. You’ll also find residents enjoying the water. Mill Point Park offers scenic, waterfront views and is a popular spot for festivals. Wythe is also a great option for students, faculty, and staff since Hampton University is less than 10 minutes away.
Despite its location two miles southwest of Downtown Hampton, Wythe leans towards a rural atmosphere with its neighborhood yard sales, festivals, barbeques, and a network of open streets that never feel congested. Families, students, military members, and members from all walks of life come here to immerse themselves in the tight-knit community straight out of a storybook. Whether you're watching a game at War Memorial Stadium or sailing on the bay, it's easy to see why this quiet getaway has become one of Hampton's most treasured neighborhoods.

I have lived in Wythe for 6 years and it is a diverse community of mainly home owners who take pride in their community. It is one of the stellar places to live in the city of Hampton.
