A great place to live

I have lived at Lock Vista for almost four years, and I love it here. The buildings are comfortable, well-maintained, old-school “good vibes” buildings. The grounds are park-like. The team that runs it are just good people. Human beings. My fellow tenants are laid-back pet-people. And the location is the best part of the best part of the city. Join us.

Lock Vista was the first place I called home when I moved to Seattle 20 years ago. This year I found myself wanting to come back for that home feeling. The leasing office is awesome and Greg, the home fixer-upper, is super polite, kind, and patient. Can't say enough about this team in few words. On my first day moving in here I was kindly greeted by a neighbor and poof, that community feeling that I have been missing came back immediately. I wish I moved here before the pandemic, then maybe I could have experienced the community during that time. Botanical Gardens across the street, an outdoor pool, remodeled apartments, a new community room & gym, Golden Gardens beach a quick bike ride away, pub next door, and Portage Bay brunches across the street, are just a few of the perks.

Beautiful apartments in an amazing location! The grounds are always well maintained and super clean. The amenities are amazing and easily accessible! The area is quiet and the property is maintained well! The location is very convenient and the amenities provided are nice for the community, the units are clean and it feels like a home, more than an apartment. Moving in was easy and quick and it will definitely be nice to jump in the pool when we get things back to normal!

The worst place Ive ever lived. Management is nonexistent, no amenities, no COVID subsidies, everything around it is closed, constant break ins, no dishwashers and have to pay for laundry. Cant wait for my lease to be up so I can move into a different complex down the road for cheaper and nicer living. 0/10

Gorgeous apartments at an affordable price. Everything is updated and the layouts make small square footage seem big. A quiet little complex super close to all of Ballards cool stores and restaurants! The leasing office are really helpful and kind, and the complex is an easy commute to UW!

Lock Vista is a great residence in a prime location in the Ballard Neighborhood. Located across the Street from the Locks and close to Golden Gardens, its a great spot especially for dog owners. Coming Home

In 1951, two remarkable things happened: I was born, and Lock Vista Apartments were built. The sign on Market Street says, "Apartment Homes," and home is precisely where I am living here. Lock Vista is nestled near the coastline of Puget Sound, across the street from the Hiram Chittenden Locks and Carl English Botanical Gardens. Seconds from my front door I can walk with my elderly dog, into the magic of the Locks, the place where Salmon fly from salt to freshwater. Inside my home, there are warm wood floors, pastel tiles, antique lamps, a breakfast nook and tree-filled picture windows. Although I only moved about a mile from my house of thirty years, for the first time since I left Kansas, I feel as if I live "on the west coast." My family is very important to me, and here I have room for them. My one bedroom has a large living room, suitable for guests, with enough room to manage a Christmas tree 6 1/2 feet tall, Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings, four touring choristers from Russia, two bicycles and a baby grand piano (Melissa and Doug size). There is enough room to store every lego my son ever had (but no room left under the bed for skis and poles). Did I mention there is a pool? It is one of the finer amenities. Oh, and the staff are amazing, they are incredibly friendly and astute. They listen well and long, and help immensely. It is marvelous as well to have people taking as impeccable care of the grounds as they do of my leaky faucets. I can't imagine where I could be happier. After all, I'm at home.
