Known as both Bull City and the City of Medicine, Durham is known for its college-town vibe, array of tech companies, and thriving arts scene. Former textile and tobacco mills have given way to art galleries, unique restaurants, co-working spaces, and spacious lofts. Durham is the proud home to Duke University, a cutting-edge research institution dressed in Gothic architecture.
Entrepreneurship defines the culture in Durham, from tech startups to eclectic food trucks turned restaurants, and everything in between. From the handcrafted goods at the Mothership to the national retailers at the Streets of Southpoint, Durham has an abundance of shopping options. You’ll find locals enjoying the Durham Farmers Market and Food Truck Rodeo at Central Park, visiting the Duke Lemur Center (the largest in the world), kayaking at Eno River State Park, and exploring the interactive exhibits at the Museum of Life and Science.

Property Ratings at Lodge at Croasdaile Farm
Just moved here and I wish I never did! Never got to officially move in until a month later due to a roach infestation, apartment was completely inhabitable.

The property itself is nice, I love how my apartment looks. The property managers are not the best. My A/C went out in June, I suffered for 2 weeks. It took them a week to bring a portable A/C unit, and I had to call them for updates about repairs. Nobody reached out until I called. If you are single and childless, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A high level unit, 3rd floor because there is no insulation in the floors and you will feel/hear all the impact from your neighbor above you especially if they have children. Worst mistake I made. You go to the leasing office with complaints and they don't offer solutions, just collecting money every month, without ensuring resident satisfaction. I expected more from a "luxury apartment complex".

Moved in on February 2021. Nothing is perfect anywhere that you go but my overall experience so far has been really good. I love the apartment itself and all the up-to-date Amenities. They have everything that you could need from the dog park, to the gym, to a garden and many more. Any issues that I have had, which is not many, they have been attended to very promptly. And the staff that I have dealt with are nothing but super friendly and helpful. I moved from a house to an apartment and I am loving less maintenance. A bonus is having a screened in porch as I had one at my house.

Thank you for entrusting us with your residential needs reviewing your stay at Lodge at Croasdaile Farm. We appreciate the wonderful compliments and are pleased to read about your great experience!
Hercules Living is one of the worst apartment management companies I have ever experienced. I moved into the Lodge when the complex first opened and it was managed by Bell. Bell was great. They were very attentive to the residents and pleasant to talk to. Once Hercules took over, everything went downhill fast. Front office people were incredibly rude and dismissive. They absolutely refuse to do anything above the bare minimum for the residents. For example, upon move out, I incurred a cleaning fee. I asked what this fee was for and received no response. I called the office multiple times and left voicemails and sent about five emails asking for clarification over the last few weeks. I tried to get a response before I had to pay my last bill. Since I received no response, I just paid the bill and decided to write this review to warn other renters of my experience here. Don't even get me started on the issues with Parcel Pending (a service that does not work, residents still have to pay for, and when anyone complains we are told to contact the package carrier and that it is not the apartment complex's issue) and the trash area (always overflowing). DO NOT LIVE HERE. It is not worth the money or the headache. I would not recommend living here or any other place managed by Hercules Living.
It is a new complex so the apartments are nice and have all of the latest appliances. Unfortunately a lot is unorganized and issues are not resolved in a timely manner. Will not be renewing.
