Property Ratings at Lodge at Cypresswood Apartments
The office staff and property owner are unprofessional, uncaring, and will take every penny from you that they can. Kiss your deposit goodbye! They will lie and charge you on top of your deposit when you leave, it’s your word vs theirs. The moment you sign the paperwork there are things that they are already planning on taking from your deposit. They will make you submit things in a very small window, often being one day so you will have to make your schedule work for them. Keep off the grass! Dog poop everywhere. The gates are always broken, leaving you to wait at the front for someone to exit. Sometimes it is broken both ways leaving everyone trapped inside the complex. Not enough trash collection. get used to seeing trash bags, because you will see literal piles of them as you exit the complex every day. The A/C ductwork is literally wood and Sheetrock. You will pay extra on your electricity bill because the a/c can’t keep up. During the summer your apartment will be 78* every day. Appliances brake OFTEN. Already pricey apartment and it will only go up. If you don’t want your wallet and peace of mind violated go somewhere else. There’s nice apartments all over that area. Don’t believe a word they say. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our team strives to ensure a fair and transparent process for all residents. We regret any misunderstandings and are available to discuss this matter further.
The property itself is nice, and there is always plenty of parking. The apartment interiors are average at best, cheap blinds and appliances, but still not too terrible for the rental price. The main issue with this complex is the staff and ownership. The woman below us screams at all hours of the day, and the person above us smokes weed in the apartment which seeps into ours through the air vents. The complex has said they can do nothing about these 2 issues, yet if you leave a bag of trash outside your apartment for one day you'll receive a letter to remove it or pay a fee. We've also been getting sick every 3-4 weeks since we moved in, and suspect a mold issue. The office staff didn't seem to care until we did a mold test ourselves which came back positive, and they are still dragging their feet in getting a mold specialist out. Then today we get a notice of eviction for rent which is 5 days late, despite the complex sending multiple emails in the last few months stating that you'll only have to pay a late fee for any late payments up to a month. Apparently the automatic payment failed to go through, and we hear about it through an eviction notice. So if you and your partner are getting dangerously sick and vomiting once a month or losing sleep because the people around you are throwing loud parties, screaming and doing drugs at all hours of the night they will show little interest in helping you solve the problem, but if you leave a trash bag outside for one day, set anything on your balcony railing or are a few days late on rent because of an automatic payment error, they will be very quick to jump on that.

We appreciate you reaching out to us and we'd like to address your concerns as soon as possible. It is important to us that we provide our residents with a home they can be proud of. Please stop by the office or give us a call at (281) 379-2077. We look forward to improving your living experience.
This place is WAY WAY overpriced. I don’t enjoy living here and am hoping we can move soon. Don’t expect anyone to go out of there way for you. Don’t expect anyone to follow up on anything; you have to do that yourself. It is a large complex. We were once written up citing a noise violation because we were vacuuming about 730-8pm. Maybe 8pm is a little late, but I don’t think it required being written up as a noise violation. The quality of pretty much everything that comes with the apartment (appliances, etc...) are cheap and fall apart/ break/drip, etc.... The carpet is ok, but when we were doing our walk through I noted that some of the carpet on the edges weren’t completely secure. I was told that wasn’t a big deal. Window blinds have fallen down a few times Refrigerator parts have had to be repaired a few times. Sink pipes leaking is not that uncommon. Some items have fallen off, or out, due to not being secured to a stud; or were not properly sealed. Those are only a couple examples of the items that you do have to call about. Incidentals you just learn to live with: Our shower knob is on backwards Our kitchen sink’s cold water handle has fallen off but you can still use it; it’s just not really on there, it’s wobbly. The door seals don’t actually seal. I can see the light from inside my apartment while I’m unlocking the door to come in. The lid around the kitchen sink drain is bent; we’ve figured out a way to keep it kind of sealed when filling the sink with water. Neither showers’ pop up stopper for taking a bath work. As I said Incidentals (stretching the term) along with somewhat cosmetic concerns are too much to even consider bothering with. Maintenance workers are really good at not fixing anything and negotiating the problem is not really a problem I once saw a maintenance worker leaving the trash area and walk right by 5 trash bags he could have just thrown in the dumpster; I did it
None of the amenities that we pay for that are in the lease have been open, gate has not worked for the last 6 months. All of these we pay for according to our lease. So I walk in to pay the rent and the rude manager asked, are you moving out ? Because if so you haven’t given written notice like you’re supposed to according to your lease..... oh how convenient. I’ve asked for a Corparate number and have not been given one.
Not only is The Lodge at Cypress Wood the best apartments I've ever lived in, it is one of the quietest. No worries at all about noise from the street or loud music. It is also conveniently close to the upcoming Vintage Park area. Close stores, restaurants and a bike ride away from Meyer Park! Nothing is perfect, but this place s pretty close.
