Southpoint is a shopper's paradise, home to the popular Streets at Southpoint Mall. Residents from all over Durham head to this mall to shop its stores: Nordstrom, Belk, Sur La Table, Crate and Barrel, Apple, and Lilly Pulitzer are all located here. The mall also offers a movie theater and a variety of restaurants. Nearby strip malls contain even more shops and restaurants. Of course, shopping isn't the only reason to love Southpoint -- this neighborhood is located along I-40 for fast commutes to Research Triangle Park, roughly four miles east.
Continue on I-40 to quickly access the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Downtown Raleigh, and North Carolina State University. Downtown Durham is about six miles north, ideal for commuting into the city or to Duke University. Chapel Hill is also nearby -- just seven miles west via I-40. With so much just around the corner from Southpoint, this perfectly-located neighborhood is a great place to call home.

We are entering our 6th year and our experience has been top notch. The apartment meets all our needs as we are in our golden age. We wish we can use some of the amenities but, are physically getting more limited. The management team and maintenance teams are friendly and very responsive to us. We want to especially mention the Maintenance worker, Nick, for his friendly, helpful manner. We have no desire to move to any other community.

I was upset that when I moved into the apartment there were a lot of dirty places, cobwebs, and it also smelled like cat urine :( the dishwasher was different from the one we were shown during the tour
The move in process was very easy, quick, and smooth. The staff were very kind and kept in contact with me days leading up to the move in. The actual community itself is clean, quiet, and creates a safe atmosphere.

If you've had trouble at other apartment complexes with maintenance, you won't have it here. The maintenance staff is wonderful. The office staff goes above and beyond their duties to be knowledgeable and helpful.

Lodge at Southpoint has a welcoming community overall. Upon moving in there were a few maintenance issues that needed attention. The leasing office is more than helpful and everything was completed in a timely manner. Courtney was my go to girl in the office and her level of professionalism, exquisite. Eric is part of the maintenance team here, and what a gem. Very clean, professional, and I felt safe & heard while he completed the task at hand. So far so good!

I have had an amazing experience here largely due to the consistent attentive staff. Whenever an issue arose the staff immediately took great care to resolve it. They always show they care about the residents & that alone is priceless! Additionally I love the grounds & that was my first attraction to the property. The Lodge @ Southpoint has not disappointed me & I wake up each morning delighted with where I live.

Experience moving in was great. Few appliances are not working and kinda frustrated that these weren’t checked prior to moving in. Leasing process was a breeze.
Everyone was extremely helpful the move in process was seamless & easy I would recommend this property to friends & family. Everything was made simple for me and I was able to provide all my documents electronically which was super convenient since I work so much & am normally not available during normal business hours.

The Lodge maintenance staff is all ways right on top of things, Any apartment issue is taken care of within hours of call. We could not ask for better. The office staff is equal to the maintenance staff in how helpful they are helping solve any problem or need.

The rent is outrageous for the amenities and the items included. Parking is horrendous and staff do not care that residents have to park 2-4 buildings away in an unsafe area. Resident safety is not a priority even though they claim it is. I’ve had multiple issues since moving here and nothing has been done about it. If it were the other way around, they would fine you or pick you out but if they do something wrong, all you get is an I’m sorry email, not even a phone call. Cannot wait to move out of this hell hole to somewhere where staff actually take concerns seriously.
I really love it here! So many amenities and nice areas to just walk around the complex. The pool is so nice in the hot summer days. They're always renovating different parts of the area so they really do keep it up to date!

Move in this past week was so easy! It greatly lowered the stress of the day. My apartment was clean when I arrived and I had a sweet welcome package from the complex! The front desk was so friendly and helpful throughout the day. I can already feel a sense of community, even with the staff! It is currently September and the pool is still open, which is great, and I have enjoyed walking to stores to get what I need! I only take away one star because I had some issues with my lock when I first moved in (which was fixed promptly) and because, with only one staff member working on Saturdays, had I not moved in right when they opened, I likely would have had to wait a while.

The lodge has an amazing location and amenities. I can walk to most places. The people are friendly. I love the trails for exercising. The area is well kept and clean.

Been here a year and love it. Great staff! Nice landscaped property. Love the clubhouse, pool, and gym. The dog park is okay, and the community is very dog friendly with lots of routes for dog walks.

The staff is incredibly helpful and considerate. The amenities are always kept clean and put together! There’s a lot of light fixtures and windows in the apartment, allowing for tons of natural light.

Location is great but Something has got to be done about the parking situation but I know they won’t fix it because they know there isn’t enough parking for the amount of residents here. Resident safety is most definitely not a priority here.

There is parking available for everyone but due to the community not having assigned parking, it limits the amount of parking in front of each building. We do offer garages for rent if that is something you would be interested in, please reach out to our office.

Our experience has been the best! From Management, maintenance and the apartment layout itself fits our needs perfectly! We can't use the pool or dog park any more but those are in excellent shape.

An excellent community! A great location next to SouthPoint mall and great maintenance services provided by knowledgeable/professonal staff members.
The amenities are pretty updated, parking is absolutely terrible, and the staff don’t respond to emails in a timely manner. I sent an email in April and still have not gotten a response. For what the price of rent is, you would think that things would be better. There is no designated parking for residents so half the time you can’t park in front of your building and the staff do not care that it isn’t safe. Safety is not a resident concern because this is a super simple fix that they refuse to do.
Wonderful! Very nice place to live. My apartment is cozy and just what I need. The amenities (gym, pool, etc.) are easily accessible. The location is perfect, within walking distance of my two favs - Target and Chick-Fil-A!
All I can say is Allison is amazing. She made my moving out state experience seamless. In fact, it was so easy I was scared. Very happy with becoming a resident at Lodge at Southpoint
We moved into our apartment last October [2023] and find that the maintenance - just like in our previous apartment, where we lived for 8 years - is excellent. Always prompt, professional, and well done.
I couldn’t be happier with my apartment complex! It’s incredibly clean and well-maintained, providing a peaceful and quiet environment that is perfect for relaxation. The community here is friendly and welcoming, making it feel like home from day one. The location is excellent, offering convenient access to all the amenities and services I need. This place truly has everything I could ever ask for. Highly recommended!
So far, NC has been really great and very warm. I’m so looking forward to starting my new job. This property is very scenic. It is picturesque and allows you to be at one with nature without leaving your home with the balconies. I think I’m going to love it here.
