Property Ratings at Lofts of Broadway
Advice from a current tenant, "DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MOVING HERE!" The building is poorly managed/ and things are always breaking down. When you need it most you will have no air/heat and the elevator is periodically broken. If you have tenants above you with pets, you may have urin leaking through the ceiling. Then you have all the hidden fees, like water / paying for the lights in common areas and electricity in common areas. The security gate has been broken for over 6 months, no key fobs for the garage (5 months). Some apartments smell like mold, the roaches from new tenants, you can work out in the fitness area because it's adjacent to the laundry; it get so hot you can't staying to workout. The pet park is full of pet poop and flees so it's not safe to take you pet out. Neither can you use the fire pit or the grill outside in the common area because of the smell of pet poop. If I could rate properly I would give no stars. If you encounter any problems, expect it be weeks and months to get things corrected because there is no maintenance guy, no grounds man and your mail just might be stolen...

Property is poorly managed and communication with tenants is abysmal. They will charge you ridiculous fees and refuse to refund your deposit. The building manager when I moved in told me things that were completely different from what actually transpired, from the way water was billed to the amount for the short term lease fee. The building manager changed at some point during my time there and none of the tenants were notified. The former manager's name and contact information remained on notices on company letterhead for weeks after he left. I tried to contact corporate to resolve many of the issues as the new building manager kept telling me it was out of her hands and I needed to contact corporate. After numerous emails, and leaving more than 6 voicemails for Teresa, I never got a response. This was the worst rental experience I had ever had, and I feel an obligation to warn all future potential tenants that this is a terribly managed property. Don't expect to get your deposit back, even if you fulfill all the terms of the lease. They will absolutely squeeze every last penny out of any tenant that leases here. Building is poorly maintained, promises are broken, and the area can be questionable at best.
They won’t give you your deposit back. I was owed my deposit and there was a mix up with the forwarding address. I’ve been trying to get my $1500 deposit back from them for almost a year. They literally won’t ever answer the phone or email you back. I’ve left countless messages and they won’t call me back. This place is an absolute joke. Look else where if you want an honest company who isn’t going to try and keep your money.
when i first moved here someone shot up the front door and a bunch of cars out front, and a man was shot in the front lobby on a separate occasion. A neighbors water heater exploded due to lack of maintenance and flooded all of the units below them, cars were egged twice that i knew of, mail is constantly stolen, the laundry room has never been cleaned, and all of the hallways are disgusting. trash is thrown around all over the place, and the elevator regularly has dog pee in it. the property manager is nice but has nothing under control. 0/10 do not recommend living here.
The views are great and everything else is pretty terrible. Here's all of the problems I've had in the year I've lived here: my painted floor is peeling off, dirt falls from my upstairs neighbors down on to all of my things, anything your upstairs neighbors spill on their floor comes through your ceiling, you hear everything your neighbors say or do, my kitchen sink collapsed into the cabinet below, the power has gone off multiple times, the AC has gone off multiple times, the hallways always stink, people let their dogs poop in the stair wells, people let their trash bags leak in the stairwells and it's never cleaned , they increased the prices of the units they're trying to rent by hundreds of dollars. Good luck!
Flooring is horrible to the point where I can see into the apartments above and below. Carolyn is nasty, mean and refuses to do anything to fix issues around the property. Dog park is unsafe. Mold more than likely an issue after repeatedly not properly fixing leaks.
