Hip, trendy, and yet somehow still sensible, Logan Square has long been one of Chicago's favorite neighborhoods. The area developed in the early 1800s, when a public green space was designed by landscape architect Jens Jensen. Today, Logan Square Park is located in the heart of the neighborhood, wrapped by Logan Boulevard and divided by Milwaukee Avenue.
Bicycle-friendly Logan Square is all about living local, from its craft breweries to local artists and restaurants. With its wide sidewalks and compact design, Logan Square is very walkable. If you choose a Logan Square apartment, you'll be about five miles from Downtown Chicago, with easy access to mass transit -- just hop on the L's Blue Line from the Logan Square Blue Line Station and you'll be downtown in minutes.

Property Ratings at Logan
Everything about the Logan had been wonderful until new management took over just over a month ago. I would stand clear of moving here until they get their bearings together. So many folks in the community have had the same issues with lack of communication, amenities being neglected with maintenance, no real guidance of what changes are happening, and even the new property sending a petty email regarding the last management who was nothing but wonderful to us. Some people have even had their rent checks lost which is a HUGE security issue. The excuse seems to always be "we are new, so we don't know" I understand there are growing pains with transition, but these are issues where the entire community suffers. I would save yourself the headache of living here and look elsewhere. It's truly sad to see such a lovely place to live take a negative turn.

Love it here! It's not just a place to stay, it's a place to call home. Everything you need and most of what you want is here and in the surrounding neighborhood. Professional, responsive management, great amenities and a sun-filled apartment AND a Target store beneath the building. It's GREAT!

Hi, we're happy you found our staff to be so supportive during your experience here at Logan.
Steer clear of Logan Apartments, and careful about positive reviews you read. I have heard first hand from people who have moved out that Logan incentivizes positive reviews. We were one of the first to move in back in 2020. The first night in the new apartment, the roof began shaking and emitted a low frequency hum. Wine glasses in our cabinet shook together. Turns out there is an issue with a device on the roof, and it took them almost a year to partially resolve it. It still comes back during snowstorms. Imagine sleeping every night for a year with what seemed like a heavy duty truck idling in the next room. The building is inherently broken and construction is common. There's previously unannounced construction ongoing in the hallway outside my door that was supposed to be short-term and completed weeks ago. To top it off, we've had no hot water for 24 hours and counting. The building tells us “it’s great because you’re going to get a new restaurant!”. All we want is a quiet living space and hot water. The building has shared temperature control. If you want air in your apartment, you'll need to have people around you who also want air. If they have heat on, tough... you're getting heat. Want to open your window to balance the temperature? Good luck with the 'L' driving by at 35 mph a mere 50 feet from the building, or the loud traffic / bars of Milwaukee Ave humming until 3 am. Our sleep quality has suffered dramatically since moving into this place. You will over-pay for a garage spot while consistently having a parking pass that doesn't let you out of the garage. Also, the gate separating target parking from private parking was broken for almost 2 months, which left tenant cars unsecured. Turns out it was a special part that had to be ordered. Their workaround was to install a pin lock to get into the building, but the parked cars were still openly accessible to anyone. Months later, broken again... Most of the management team is all lip service with no real solutions. You will never feel understood or heard. The new maintenance staff and one of the managers, Rafael, are amazing, but deserve better jobs elsewhere. I am writing this review while still living here to hopefully save others from the sleep you'll lose dealing with this place. If you choose Logan, you'll end up humming to the tune of jackhammers below you and broken air conditioning units above while dealing with incompetent management and broken parking. Look elsewhere.

Hi Matt, Firstly, Logan does not incentivize reviews based on their content. We appreciate all reviews because they highlight areas of excellence as well as areas of improvement. We’re happy that our service team was able to resolve the vibration issue you referenced, related to the HVAC equipment located on the roof above your top floor unit, enough so that your roommate decided to extend their lease for another term. Regarding the recent construction, this was related to the build out of one of the retail spaces which was anticipated to be completed last week as specified in the previous notice to residents. Unfortunately the work continued into the current week and the 3rd party construction team did not inform us of this. We understand the impact this has on our residents and are working to ensure that the line of communication between contractors and Management is clear moving forward to avoid work without notice. With that being said, Logan is a mixed used property with a few vacant retail spaces yet to be filled. Please check with the leaseholder of your unit as the lease agreement does include provisions related to construction activity. The hot water issue was an isolated incident related to a mixing valve replacement (common in plumbing), which we are happy to report was resolved in less than 24hrs with help from one of our reliable vendors! Multiple updates were sent to the community which you likely did not receive as you have opted out of mass communication from Logan. Logan uses a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system for heating and cooling. This system is energy efficient which helps to decrease individual energy expenses while taking a weighted average of the apartments connected to an individual HVAC unit. As with any property in a dense metropolitan area, there are going to be city sounds upon opening your window. Logan is a transit oriented development (TOD) situated in a prime location near public transit, shopping and dining. For this reason, parking demand is higher than our availability. Our multiple parking options are competitively priced and the garage gate is currently working as intended. The team is happy to review alternative parking options with you if you are looking to make a change. Finally, our team strives to provide a high level of service to all of our residents and we regret that your experience was less than stellar. We will be sure to pass along your feedback to the team and hope that the remainder of your stay will be a more positive one.
The leasing process was a breeze. The quality of the apartment and amenities is nice. The building management has also been great so far.

Life at Logan is wonderful. Not only are the amenities and staff amazing, but also the sense of community is unmatched compared to buildings Ive previously lived in. Hi, we're happy you found our staff to be so supportive during your experience here at Logan.
The building is beautiful and amenities are on point! The view of the city from the outdoor area is gorgeous. However, if your a dog parent, the concrete dog run and lack of green space accessible to dogs make this a less than desirable building.
