Property Ratings at London Square and Blue Spruce
It's been almost 2 months since my air conditioner didn't work. The temperature inside is close to 100 degrees. The highest temperature is 95 degrees. I was a staff member of the office I contacted two months ago. Tell them my air conditioner is not working properly. The staff at the front desk said my description had been written down. Tell me I'll be in touch with a repair person soon. But I waited 2 weeks and still no maintenance person came to check. I tried a second time to contact the staff at the office. I explained my purpose to the front desk and she said you are on the list and need to queue. I waited another week and still no maintenance person came, I went to the office for the third time. This time someone helped me write my apartment number onto a piece of paper. Another week passed. This is a month after I reported that the air conditioner wasn't working. The high temperature every day makes me very miserable. If things get here they can help me with the air conditioner. I will not write this message. I will be very grateful to them. I know and understand. The old air conditioner doesn't work properly all the time. And in summer, every user needs to use an air conditioner. Maintenance crews do a lot of maintenance. Repairs require a queue. I can understand. However, their attitude towards the whole thing is simply incomprehensible. First the maintenance staff came to my apartment. Helped me replace the air conditioner's filter element and temperature controller. But still didn't work. Then he helped me clear the air conditioner slot. The problem is still not resolved. Then he got busy doing other work. did not continue to solve the problem. He said he would be back in a while. But he didn't come back. The next day, I went to find him. He said he would come in a while. But he didn't come back all day. I had no choice but to take a leave of absence and go to him again on the third day. But he saw me like he didn't see me. Didn't say a word to me. Work in the office speaks with him. She saw me say. A professional air conditioner repairer will be sent tomorrow. But I took leave and waited all day at home. The maintenance man still didn't come. I went to the office again and said no maintenance staff came to my apartment yesterday. They said they remembered it wrong. Maintenance personnel went to another area to repair. You can only come to this area when the repairs are over there. They said they would call me when the maintenance guy came.

We lived here for 2 years between 2018 and 2020. When we arrived on the move-in day, they had made a mistake on their paperwork, and we were given the wrong floorplan. They then gave us the correct apartment 6 months later. I have never seen as many cop and sheriff cars marching to find someone as what I've seen on this property. I can recall at least 4 isolated incidences where 5+ cop cars were driving around looking, knocking on doors. Our first apartment had a broken fridge. For several days, they assumed that it was set too cold and forming ice. They came in once a day to break the ice, which simply leaked all over our kitchen. When it eventually stopped working, the maintenance team gave us their fridge from their breakroom which had molded food all over. They put it in our kitchen and jokingly said, "I'd clean it before putting any food in there." They goofed around some more and left without cleaning the fridge or all the dirt they brought by removing the broken fridge that was leaking water. We spent 3 hours and our own cleaning supplies to clean them all. Our upstairs neighbors were often high. One day, they planned to take a bath, started running hot water, and forgot about it, resulting in causing a waterfall in our unit. We had a large amount of water dropped in our bathroom, and water also traveled through the ceilings to cause some damage in the hallway, bedroom, and kitchen. The water damage was so severe that we could never get rid of the mold. The maintenance team never fully cleaned it for us, and we could tell black mold was growing inside the ceilings. We were so concerned about our health that we moved out as soon as our lease term ended.

Corresponded for days with leasing office trying to coordinate a tour, finally have a confirmed tour scheduled by the office, and we get no-call, no-showed. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing.
Living here has been the worst experience of my life when it comes to dealing with an apartment complex. I am beyond thankful to be leaving. The rent is ridiculous in comparison to the amenities you get- outdated appliances, no washer/dryer in unit, and nonsensical fees. The laundry is absurdly expensive; I have spent a year taking my laundry elsewhere. The dishwasher I have has destroyed half my dishes, leaving a large amount of food & residue. And yes, I have tried to switch dish detergent brands and also pre-wash the dishes. I also contacted maintenance about this issue, they simply "cleaned" the dishwasher as their solution. The laminate flooring in the bathroom is peeling away, the shower and toilet accumulate grime no matter how many times a week you clean them. The neighbors are awful to live near, whether it be loud music, stomping from up above, or screaming matches that you can hear through the wall. You can also hear dogs barking all day long as well as getting to see dog poop left out in the grass for days due to no one picking it up. Another instance, I got locked out of my apartment in the morning before work. The leasing office does not open until 9AM. No answer from maintenance. They are slow to respond- if at all. This made me extremely upset as I had to sit outside for hours. I should not have to spend money on a locksmith when maintenance or the leasing office should have a master key, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this happen to them.
Changing my review to actually give the reviewers a really glimpse of the apartments here. - don't expect to have a parking spot in front of your building. Expect to park several buildings away - don't expect their "maintenance" team to be helpful at all. They will fix what is broken. After being reminded several times and after weeks have past. - don't expect repairs to actually stay fixed. The "repair" will break shortly after it is fixed. - expect showers that go from a normal warm shower to 3 degree burns regularly - expect your dishwasher will leak all over your kitchen to have a nice pond in your kitchen - expect construction noise at 7 am and be hung up on when you call to complain - Expect black mold in the washing machines - expect no lights on in main entry ways and your calls to have the replaced go unanswered. - expect little to no outside lights. If you are walking at night there are large patches of area that are completely dark. Their motion sensor light turns OFF when you walk through it. - expect uneven floors and for the carpet or linoleum floors ( that you are told is real wood) to not go all the way to the corner so they regularly rip and you have to maneuver back down - expect noisy central air. The AC systems are very old and shake. So not only is it loud but it vibrates the walls. - expect your kitchen sink faucet to regularly leak and moves up and down and shakes when the water turns on. My husband and I can't wait to get out of this lease. It has been the worst experience in an apartment community ever.
I moved in October of 2018, the apartment was newly renovated with laminate hardwood, and a new kitchen, and was offered with a rent discount, to which I couldn't refuse. After a few days of being in the apartment I realized why. the laminate floor boards have been separating from the floor, and there is a constant odor coming from the kitchen sink. about 2 months after moving in, I noticed mice, not one, not two, but I CAUGHT three mice. I repeat, I CAUGHT them. I contacted maintenance and put in multiple requests without hearing anything back and no evidence that anyone was in the apartment to fix the situation. I've been here for three months, and as soon as the lease is up, I will be moving, and strongly discouraging anyone from even looking at these apartments, or ANY community by the Solomon Group.
My boyfriend and I have only lived here for a year and we couldn’t move out fast enough! Filling out a maintenance request and trying to contact the office is a joke. It has taken months just to get one little thing fixed. Our neighbors fight constantly, people tie up their dogs when the sun hasn’t even risen and you get to enjoy all the barking. Oh and the endless amounts of dog poop is a plus. Yes they allow pets, and some units have washers and dryers but the rent is ridiculous for what they give in return. Also tons of fees, and only to turn around to more when you decide to move out. Joke joke joke. Don’t rent here.
I rented an apartment from them in April 2016. I got a job offer in Virginia and had to move around July. I continued to pay rent at London Square while keeping in contact with management who instructed me to: surrender my keys and put out my own ads to try and re-rent the apartment(sublets were out of the question). I did both of these things and probably sent around 30 prospective renters their way. I sent a final email in November letting them know that I had done my due diligence as they requested but I could no longer afford two rent payments and would have to cease payment in November. They did not reply or try to contact me in any way.......until almost 2 years later when I got a collection notice in the mail for $3000. I contacted them immediately and was told that they had me legally evicted 3 days after my last payment and that the money was for legal fees. I asked if they could eat the cost and give me a break due to the shady way they had gone about this. The property manager was extremely condescending and would not stop pointing out how much time I had left on the lease even though it was already established that the fees were for eviction legal fees. Rather than deal with the headache of going to court I bit the bullet and paid the collection fees. I did let them know I would be leaving a negative review and it is my sincere hope that people see this and that it costs Solomon well over the $3000 dollars they insisted I pay. Even before that fiasco, but especially after, it was apparent to me that management looks at people as commodities instead of human beings and that is a horrible way to run a business. Leaks were never taken care of, damage that I found when moved in never fixed, emails never answered etc. etc. Find another place to live: there are many better in the area.
I moved in to the complex 2017, since then I have listened to my neighbor constantly stomping around all hours of the night and am. The office does nothing about this. My dryer takes 3 cycles to dry 1/2 the load from the washer supplied by the complex. Keep in mind the dryer was new as well. When I moved in there was new flooring in the living area that was already scratched up. Overall I can't wait to move, don't waste your money here
This apartment is in a very good neighborhood/community. No one is too loud (besides our upstairs neighbor who sounds like he's tap dancing in steel-toed boots all night, and people wave to each other. However the apartment itself is falling apart day by day. Almost everything is or has broken. The layout makes no sense at all and makes it so the only place you actually have room in is the bedroom. The paint is terrible and almost rubs off at the touch. The lock on the outside door broke my key in half. Both faucets are broken. AND rent goes up every year! For someone who pays their rent on time or early every month, it is NOT worth the almost $1000 for a one bedroom in Clifton Park.
