Midtown Tallahassee extends north from 7th Avenue to roughly the Glendale neighborhood. Midtown is considered the city's entertainment district, home to the Young Actors Theater and Theatre Tallahassee. It is also the fun side of the city, home to local hotspots like the Wine Loft, Kool Beanz, and Waterworks. As a very walkable and bicycle-friendly neighborhood, Midtown is home to some of the city's favorite events and festivals, including the Taloofa Fest. Midtown is located directly north of Old Town, next door to Los Robles.

Property Ratings at LondonTown @ Midtown
The immediate management, the property, maintenance, tenants - I couldn't pick a better place to be. Wonderful staff. They're not the problem... It's great for retirees, families, professionals - nonsense is not tolerated. Thank goodness. The office staff and maintenance are stellar - great people. You won't find better. Except... Corporate - Is the problem. It is as most corporations... long on take and short on give. There's a fairly new management company (corporate) that has jacked up rent since their takeover - charged fees that used to be included in the rent - treat staff like expendables, requiring them to perform tasks that should be hired out. That includes major issues - like a/c and plumbing. Having to sit through days without plumbing is unacceptable, beyond unacceptable - all because CORPORATE doesn't want to shell out the bucks to get a plumber here to fix the problem - that's after jacking up rent to include water fees that used to be included in the rent. Again - the immediate management is wonderful. Great people - As usual, it's the "higher ups" that have their heads up their individual and collective butts, making it too painful for them to extract their checkbooks to take care of business. Again, none of this is a reflection on the office staff or maintenance. They are top of the class. Wonder if the Owners believe in karma.
We rented a 3 bedroom/2 bath when we sold our home last year. Knowing we were looking to buy another home, we did not really want to be locked into a one year lease anywhere. Londontown offered a 7 month lease, which was perfect. We loved living here. Our neighbors and all of the staff were great! We have no complaints whatsoever.
We have lived here for almost three years and love it! We left because we have to move to another state for work. We enjoyed living here. The apartment is under well maintained and has a lovely complex. The maintenance requests always get a response very quickly and resolved with no time. The location is perfect with Publix and Whole-food located within 5 min drive. The neighborhood is friendly, and all the staff is kind and helpful. People treat each other like family here. I still remember the first time when I arrived at my apartment when it was mid-night. They prepared toilet paper, dish soap, kitchen colander, napkin, doormat, and a lovely note saying 'welcome home'. All the memories were warm and happy.
My husband and I have lived here for over two years and have sincerely appreciated how wonderful Londontown is. The location is great, the neighbors are kind and quiet, the management is kind, and the price is hard to beat. Kay at the front office has always been very helpful and quick to respond to any work orders that are needed. Def worth checking out if you are looking!
I lived at LondonTown for over 3 years. I consider myself very lucky to have found this place. The location is great, easy access to everything if you enjoy being close to city. It was extremely quiet. The noise from street is blocked pretty well and the units are well insulated both for sound and AC. The neighbors were always quiet as well. Not once during my stay I was annoyed in anyway. The leasing office is the best I have ever encountered in the 10 years that I have lived in different cities and states. Everybody was always so professional and with a big smile. It didn’t matter what problem I ran into, the answer was always: Ok, we will take care of it. And they did resolve it in a few days at the most. They take care of the units in the best possible way, the follow up, and they are on top of things. I already miss this place. I know that even if I find a nice quality and quiet apartment, the leasing office will not be the same. While they knew tenants and made me feel safer, they respected privacy completely. I only wish that when I am old, I will end up in a housing community that I can trust fully as much I trusted LondonTown. The very last day, after I returned the keys, I ran into a problem with my truck. Even then, Kay and Vernon kindly helped to fix things up. They just care. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Enjoy your stay at this affordable place and support good people!
I am in the process of moving away from Londontown due to a new job, but otherwise I would never leave, and I now will be comparing all of the apartments in my search to my time here! I have lived here as an official resident for a year, but my partner has lived here for years and loved his experience. The location is ideal - close enough to campus to go for classes, events, etc., but far enough away that the neighborhood is primarily young professionals, grad students, families, and not partying undergrads. Publix and several drugstores are right up the street, the AMC movie theater is walking distance, and Midtown restaurants and bars are close by. The complex's biggest asset is their staff; everyone is always extremely welcoming, helpful, and communicative. The property is well-maintained, and the location feels very homey and safe due to the surrounding greenery and closed loop of the complex. Also, there are almost always free baked cookies and waters in the leasing office - how much better can you get than cookies?! Overall, would highly recommend living here; even as not the most modern place to live, the responsiveness of the office staff, cleanliness of the property, and location more than makes up for that.
My husband and I have lived here for 2.5 years and love it. We moved here for my husband's PhD program at FSU and I stay home with my small kids. We specifically wanted to live somewhere where I feel safe with my kids while my husband is gone so much. I feel 100% safe here and I completely trust the office staff. If there were ever a problem, and my husband was gone, I would absolutely feel confident reaching out to the office staff and maintenance crew for help. The maintenance is amazing and they are super on top of getting things fixed, even if it isn't an emergency but more just an inconvenience. The location is perfect for us and we love that there is a bus stop right here that takes my husband straight to campus so I can keep the car during the day. They even do a great job of keeping the landscape up so that the outdoor atmosphere is welcoming. Love it here and we don't want to live anywhere else.
I found Londontown Apartments while searching for an apartment for our family of four while on a campus visit to Florida State University. After visiting numerous apartment complexes, Londontown was exactly what we needed moving from the West Coast of the United States. As a PhD student, Londontown has been the perfect apartment complex for me and my family. In addition to affordable prices, the location is perfect and the amenities have provided our family with the simple pleasures of living in Florida on a tight student budget. A bus stop is located at two points at the complex, allowing me to use the public transportation to get to campus quickly and effectively. The staff is helpful with information and we have never had to worry about any problems with our apartment as they have been fixed quickly and precisely. It is a blessing to be able to live in a place where our family feels safe and offers the peace of mind a graduate student can use.
I love living at Londontown. Me and my family have been here for a long time and don't plan on leaving anytime soon! The pricing is fair and they are constantly working on improving the community. Recently they had the parking lot redone in front of my building which was a nice upgrade. The office staff is always courteous and seems to really care about the residents. We have never had any problems with the staff or any of the other tenants. I feel safe at night walking to check the mail even if my husband is not home. The community as a whole is very quiet especially at night time. The few times we have called the office for maintenance Vernon or Jerry took care of our issues right away. The apartment itself is big for the price, and we had no problems with our appliances. Living between Monroe St. and Midtown is very convenient. Lots of restaurants in both directions, close to the interstate, and close downtown. We have laundry machines in our apartment so I cannot speak for the on-site laundry facilities but judging by the rest of the property I am sure they are in good shape.
Great place to live in Tallahassee, would recommend it to a friend. I have lived at Londontown since January 2016 and have no complaints. I live in a 2 bed/1.5 bath unit (The Highbury). The location is excellent, very close to anything you could need and also the drive to FSU is quick. I feel very safe here, there are several police officers that live on property and park their cars here. These are two of the main reasons I chose Londontown to begin with and I have not been disappointed. The staff is friendly and most of them have been here since I moved in. Anytime I have had to contact maintenance they always respond quickly and are very helpful. No bugs or noise issues in the almost 2 years I have been here. They deliver a monthly newsletter and calendar (sometimes accompanied by some candy) to your door which is nice and provide free coffee and snacks everyday in the office.
I had a great experience with LondonTown Apartments over the past 3 years and 11 months. In 2013, I just became an assistant professor at Florida State University. I found this place through online rating. It offers a cost-competitive rental rate for 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment compared with other apartments I had visited. Then I quickly made a decision moving to LondonTown. I have been very glad about making this decision in the next following 3 years. The apartment itself offers laundry service, swimming pool, and free annual carpet clean. The environment is very nice and surrounded by all kinds of amenities for daily life (shopping, cinema, hospital, planet fitness gym) as well as its walking distance to Lake Ella, a mini-park with scenic views in the midtown area. The area is under constant maintenance and their actions to the tenant's requests (for repairing/cleaning) are very responsive. Almost all issues I reported were taken care of within 0-2 business days. The apartment is very pet-friendly as well. Now, I left LondonTown just because of consideration for a family house after my wife relocates to Tallahassee. Overall, I think LondonTown is a great place to live for young fellows and couples considering its convenience offered at a cost-competitive rental rate compared with other apartments.
This is an excellent apartment complex!!! I have lived here for four years and never had a problem. The management and staff are friendly and professional. They are quick to resolve any issues. Londontown is centrally located and the grounds are maintained very well. I loved living at Londontown and have always felt safe while renting; I highly recommend living here!
A wonderful place for people who need a quiet, safe, well-run apartment complex while you get on with your career/raising a family. Lived there for almost 9 years and only moved, yesterday, because my job moved. If something is broken it is fixed THAT DAY, if there is a different problem Kay and her staff resolve it THAT DAY. I cannot recommend this apartment complex with their spectacularly efficient management highly enough.
This is a very good apartment complex- an oasis amongst chaos in Tallahassee. The pools and the tennis court are very quaint. Pretty trees and landscaping. Reasonable neighbors. I feel relatively safe here. Lots of parking. Maintenance is good. Administration leaves you alone, but is very helpful if you need them. Units are dated from the late 70s, but have had a facelift with new carpet, new paint, and newer counters. Cleanest apartment I have ever rented! All and all a good place to live despite the price being slightly more then average. You are paying for the central location.
