The Antelope Valley region sits in the northernmost stretches of Los Angeles County. Antelope Valley also constitutes the western portion of the Mojave Desert, located between the Tehachapi, Sierra Pelona, and San Gabriel Mountains, which all lend stunning mountain vistas to the rentals in the region.
Antelope Valley’s largest cities include Lancaster and Palmdale, in addition to a slew of smaller cities and towns that each boast their own unique identity and sense of character. The region’s more affordable cost of living draws plenty of Los Angeles area commuters who don’t mind a longer commute time.
The rental options are just as diverse as the region itself, with an array of apartments, condos, townhomes, and houses available for rent throughout Antelope Valley. Popular spots for outdoor recreation include Angeles National Forest and Castaic Lake State Recreation Area, as well as Greater Los Angeles’ renowned beaches, which are about a two-hour drive away.

Property Ratings at Longhorn Pavilion
Don't move here if you value peace and quiet, you can smell your neighbour's smoke through the walls. You can hear when the take a shower or use the bathroom as if you are in there with them because the water pipes doors and walls are poorly insulated! some maintenance people try to weasel out of finishing repairs. If you ask them to fix your window, they will say "maybe just don't open it all the way" instead of fixing the window! You have to tell them repeatedly to their face while they are in your unit that you need them to fix the problem you called them for. If the people in the unit next to you wake you up with screaming, stomping, loud TV and loud music, if you smell their smoke, the management office will spit a slew of excuses instead of doing their job and enforcing the lease rules which are supposed to make this a nice place to live. (this is supposedly a no smoking complex and quiet complex according to the lease) Call management and tell them the neighbours are being loud, let them hear it through your phone and they will lie and say they can't do anything about it, rather than drive over on their golf carts, enforce the lease and do their jobs. Iv lived here for years and seen when there was better management, Iv seen people get evicted for being loud and trying to kill each other (again you can hear the choking and bashing noises and feel the vibration of their fights through the thin walls, floors and windows) it was like watching Jerry Springer or a reality tv drama, I could hear their conversation! So please spare yourself the stress of living here. Bottom line: Current management as of 2018 does not do their job (will not enforce the lease, lies to your face, does nothing about terrible neighbours disturbing the peace), the walls and floors are so thin you can smell your neighbour's smoke, hear their loud music/TV/ fighting and bathroom visits. Please spare yourself the trouble and don't move here, nothing is more valuable than feeling comfortable and relaxed in your own home, and that is not something you will find here!
I've lived here since December of 2015. Cons: An alright place to live but a tad grimy. Pools aren't cleaned, hot tubs don't work, parking is a nightmare unless its between 8:45am-5:30pm (around the times everyone is either headed to or leaving work). We needed a bulb in the kitchen replaced and had to call a second time because they forgot. They no longer receive packages at the office but when they did, it was too much to handle and one of mine got lost and they didn't show any care or consideration even though it was due to their own negligence. Pros: Its safe and all the neighbors are nice enough, they do a great job with pest control, and the people who manage the property only send out paper notices, they never show up in person to threaten you or anything like that so you don't have to deal with them too much.
I love where I live. Management is very understanding when it comes to your necessities, and do their best to get things done right away. The price is reasonable, we have a garage, washer and dryer in unit, gym, kids playground, 3 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and recreational center. Not to mention it's a very nice apartment complex. Everyone around is friendly. I mean, who doesn't want to live here. It feels like home.
