Yuma's historic downtown began as a rope crossing for the Colorado River in the 1840s. The earliest adobe homes were lost to floods in the early 1900s, and the current buildings along Main Street were built in the 1920s. Because of this, Downtown Yuma has a definite art deco flair, blending with the desert landscape and the palm trees to create a beautifully unique neighborhood. With its fountains and brick-paved walkways, Historic Main Street is the ideal location for festivals and street fairs.
Residents and visitors can take history (or ghost!) tours, all starting at the Sanguinetti House Museum. This adobe home was built in 1857 and includes beautiful gardens. The Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park includes six historic buildings dating back to the Indian Wars of the late 1800s. During the late 1800s, the Territory of Arizona also established a prison. Today, it is a museum at the Yuma Territorial Prison State Historical Park.

This is the worst place I have ever lived in. Do you like the smell of grass 24/7, waking up at 3am to grass aroma? Do you want your kids to go with the reek to school or to the daycare? Do you want to go with the reek to work? Do you like sketchy ppl behind the trash cans in the parking lot, the police wondering all the time? Then, this is the place for you! There is one parking per unit but there is total anarchy in the parking lot. You are lucky if your own spot is free for you to use it. The apartments inside are crap. The cabinets are broken the floor is falling apart. When you walk it feels like you are going to break the floor. When you make a work order for something that you need to be fixed they come and say that they need some parts and then they never come back. The washers and dryers are always broken. I remember I asked the manager about it and he/she said “go and wash in the other buildings”. The common areas are filthy and gross. The management is either nonexistent or rude. They had this manager that moved into the building and didn’t last 6 months living here. Imagine if you manage a place and you are so bad doing it that not even you can live in it yourself. Moving here is the worst decision I have ever made. I do not recommend this place to my worst enemy. If you have family or elderly look the other way!!!!
If you are looking for a place to call home, THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE PLACE!!!!!!!!! The manager is extremely rude, she has zero ZERO customer service, gives you dirty looks, and is always in a hurry. I have never rented an apartment before until now. I have a 1 year old son and we, my boyfriend and I decided to go with Lothlorien Apartments due to being close to family, boy were we so wrong in getting this place. We got our keys to our home on Friday afternoon around 1:50 pm, office closes at 2pm, we have our vehicle loaded with all our stuff, we borrow trucks from family to help us move to our new home. We walk in carrying our stuff in and to our surprise we are welcomed with tons TONS OF ROACHES, little ones, big ones, everywhere.. in the restroom and both bed rooms. I call emergency number which no one answers, vm says to "provided you leave a message in English we will call you in 15-20 min" I received a call back 1 1/2 hrs later to say sorry we will have a fumigator in the morning at 9 am. Well it is now 11:03 am and no one has called me back nor gone into apt. I am so shocked and PISSED that they treat people like this... They require money up front, aps, insurance everything on our part was done, They failed.......DO NOT .... DO NOT ... GET THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX...
The front office lady is sweet she is extremely nice. the so called "manager" on the other hand is one of the rudest people I've met. She does not have one bit of customer service in her bone. I have tried to talk to her and she just makes nasty faces. I have been dealing with a bug infestation for about 3 months now and it had not decreased. They say its pet friendly but how are you going to bring a pet into this disgusting environment. If you rent this apartment just be aware that if you happen to get a bug infestation, even if you are the cleanest person in the world, they will still blame you.
I’m currently living here in the 2 bedroom when we first where showed the models they looked so pretty but the really ones are trash. They carpet is sooo old and flat and they didn’t want to change it. They do an “inspection” every month to check air fliters but it’s really just to be nosy! They go into your apartment with or without you there and I’ve found so many bugs even after the place has been sprayed, cockroaches in the bathroom and the manager just says it’s sewer roaches but i lived in beach club for 9 months and never even saw a spider! I would not reccomand this place to anymore and can’t wait till my lease is up !
Yvonne and her crew are top notch! Everyone on staff is professional and knowledgeable. They are quick to answer all my questions and concerns. The apartment property is very nice and very well maintained. I cannot wait to move in!!
