Despite a similar name, St. Paul’s Lowertown is different from downtown in both location and character. While most residents know Downtown St. Paul as the entertainment hub of the city, Lowertown — its neighbor to the east — is developing a unique identity all its own.
Art galleries, restaurants, and local businesses are setting up shop in the warehouses and factories that put St. Paul on the map in the 20th century. Mears Park and the greenway along the Mississippi River provide much-need recreation space in this growing city. Residents of Lowertown enjoy a booming nightlife scene, as well as short commute times thanks to the interstates around the area.

Property Ratings at Lowertown Living
It's also right next to the farmers' market, which is awesome during the summer. Short walk to Union Depot and 54 bus to airport and MOA. The building has interesting architecture and is more impressive inside. The apartment was equipped with good appliances. It served us well. The management was responsive and always kind to me and my partner. We had to move to another state but we miss this apartment and friends.
I've been here for two months and so far no complaints.
The apartment building is great, and perfectly located in Lowertown. You're close to everything. The office staff are friendly and responsive, and very quick to help you out if you have a problem. The building is clean and well-maintained. The only downside is that it's really quiet. There's not much sense of community among neighbors. Also, there's no outdoor space, unfortunately.
I just moved in, but I felt like I needed to comment because of the extremely positive experience I have already had at Lowertown Commons. While moving in, three different people stopped to tell me that this place was amazing and a great place to live. I have lived many different places and I have never had anybody tell me as I was moving in that I made the right choice (which improved my mood drastically as I was hauling heavy boxes)! I have wanted to live in the Lowertown neighborhood for years now and couldn't be happier with my choice. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and could not imagine liking my apartment anymore than I do!

What a great review – we value all feedback and are so happy to hear you are enjoying living at Lowertown Commons! We have a pretty great community, all in part to our wonderful residents and staff. Please visit or contact us in the rental office if you ever have questions or concerns!
Lived in Lowertown Commons during the renovations of the new community room and neighbors apartments getting remodeled. So the noise level was really bad and they started at 630-700 am on some mornings. The apartment building is NOT a smoke free building. The floor above smoked and because of that our apartment smelt like smoke. You can hear your neighbors conversations because of the thin walls. The windows are old and let in heat and cold air, which will increase your utility bill. They say you can control you own heat and AC but I could not get the apartment cooler then 72 in the summer months. I would look else where if noise level, temperature, and smoke free are important to you. Otherwise great location, cool apartments, friendly staff and residents, and new party room and gym.
