Property Ratings at Lafayette Park Apartments
I lived here for more than a year, left my unit in incredible condition. I moved out a few months ago and I'm still waiting for the return of my security deposit. The property management company keeps telling me the cheque is in the mail but it's been 3 months now and I still haven't received it. The accounting department won't email me back with proof that the cheque has been issued and property manager won't answer phone calls.
The manager is terrible, delayed answers regardless of however polite these replies seem. Car was broken into and there was no access to the camera, I doubt they even work. The manager is not around to handle these issues, there were a line of people waiting for arrival. What good is it to have a gated lot at this rate? I can hear the neighbors and every little thing. Live here at your own risk.
Stay away! Looks pretty on the outside there have been multiple break-ins in the parking lot even though it is gated. Management is never around or available to tenants during these type of crisis.

Hello, Unfortunately during the pandemic there was a rise in crime in all jurisdictions of Los Angeles. While we can't guarantee crime won't happen, we can continue to work with our residents in securing our community to its' fullest potential. We have our security cameras and provide gated access control. As we've stated in your case we always advise to file a police report if you do find there has been any tampering with your belongings, we will assist in any way we can providing footage where requested. We always advise everyone to keep valuables out of sight and ensure their cars are locked and secured. We hope to continue to build on your experience and hope if you have any other areas that can improve your experience, you feel free to connect with us. The LP Team
The building manager is rude, extremely unhelpful and overall unpleasant to have any interaction with. The gym is atrocious - cockroaches EVERYWHERE. I sent photos to the building manager of them on the walls and the equipment and the response was sorry they fumigated the trash area on the other side of the wall. You are so close to the buildings next to you, you can hear them cleaning their apartment, talking on the phone, babies screaming, coughing/sneezing and musical instruments. The alley way to the parking garage is filled with potholes and terrible to get in and out of because of the narrowness of the street.

We are sorry to hear you are not enjoying your resident experience currently - Please contact me directly so we can address any issues in your unit every way possible. We do not currently have any memo or work orders pertaining to you so we'd appreciate it if you could please contact us immediately so we can help.
Lived here for about a year now. I can't wait to move out. The manager is rude and condescending. The walls are paper thin so you get no privacy. Lastly, you only get one parking space so if you have two cars, you have a problem cause finding street parking is impossible.
Property Manager at Lafayette Park Apartments, Responded To This Review
Street parking in Los Angeles is a well known issue among majority of the Los Angeles properties, but we do guarantee that you have your own designated space with your apartment. We do appreciate your feedback and perspective as we are constantly growing and improving The LP by CLG.
The property is not maintained very well by management. The property manager is very unhelpful and will antagonize complaints or maintenance request. Be sure to have proof! The main problems with this property are the roach infestation, noise problems, and pigeons on the balcony. We have been seeing roaches on a daily basis in our unit and around the property but management could care less. All they do is send routine pest control to apply treatments that don't even work. Pigeons are in the balcony but management tells us it is not their problem and it is the tenants' responsibility to maintain the balcony. There are dog noises (barking, whining, running) through all hours, the day and night. It is like an animal pound. You will also hear noises from your upstairs, downstairs, and next door neighbors because the walls are paper thin. You can hear every cough, foot traffic, and other unpleasant noises.
