Moved in May of ‘23. Since living here my girlfriend’s car has been broken into and we continue to have packages stolen, out of the mail room, delivery locker, and most recently, right in front of our front door. The security measures are nonexistent, as multiple doors that need fob (secure) access are constantly broken, meaning anyone can get into pretty much any facility here. Had roving security for like 1 or 2 weeks then nothing again. They don’t take it seriously here.

This place has animal poop everywhere dogs barking at night dogs attacking other dogs they leave trash all over the halls outside of trash cans! The manage staff is so bad it’s a joke don’t move here

after paying for garage space my roomate got her car broken into just to find out they have no security in the garage that i pay for to have a safe spot. when we called the police they explained that the 2 garages in this complex alone has a lot of theft calls. after explaining our concerns to the property manager, Jennifer, she explains theres nothing they can do and it doesn't matter if theres cameras or not and that its very easy for people to jump the gate. Jennifer brushed off the issue as if it happens a lot and did not make us feel better about the situation. i feel we are paying way too much money to not have security. this place is way over priced and they also failed to tell us we have to pay common utilities, so no thats not included with the overpriced rent. it is also next to a very busy rode where you hear sirens all hours of the night and constant traffic. out of all the places I've lived, never have i experienced such greedy people that try and milk as much money as possible.
We moved in over a year ago under a different management company. I will say that at that time they went out of their way to make certain that every single resident was comfortable and had their needs met. Since IRET has taken over, service has declined a lot. Many of the resident activities have been cancelled, the parking garage doors have been broken leaving the vehicles open to vandals, trash pickup has not been consistent, leasing office hours are not consistent, management is not available on the weekends and will not talk to residents about concerns. Personally, Denver is a highly competitive market for apartments and IRET is a rural market company... there is much better out there and we are moving.
My roommate and I took a tour of the property and decided to apply in June 2019. We were both approved, completed the paperwork and paid a $200 deposit upon approval. They provided us with a move-in letter with the move in cost breakdown. There were some discrepancies with the numbers so I called to verify the move in costs listed. The move in cost were more that what was initially quoted to us. They provided FIVE WRONG QUOTES VIA THE WELCOME LETTER. I went into the office and reviewed the welcome letter and costs again with management. I spoke with Roberto who promised that everything was corrected and that we could move in as scheduled in the next two days. Roberto stated and clarify that the welcome letter listed ALL final move in costs and that we could pick up our keys on our move in date. I asked him for the keys and gate fobs twice but he insisted that we pick them on our move in date. On our move in date, we were informed that there was an additional deposit of $1000 due which had never been disclosed to us during our multiple communications with management. Our movers were scheduled to move us within two hours of picking up the keys. They told us we would not be able to move in unless the additional deposit was paid. We ended up canceling our movers and decided to find another place since their antics were unethical and designed to deliberately scam unsuspecting residents. They would not return our deposit and asked us to leave the premises when we called our attorney to get advice about the Lugano deposit scam. They waited to tell us on our move in date that an additional $1000 was due; they would not give us the keys unless we paid it and they asked us to leave the property when we called our attorney. Lugano never returned our initial $200 deposit and management would not speak to us again as we pleaded for them to make this bait-and-switch right. They were rude and very abusive to us. Our movers were in route. We had to cancel movers and find a place to live by the end of the week. They were abusive and reckless in their interactions with us. We were absolutely horrified by the experience. The Lugano puts applicants in these types of precarious situations knowing that people will either pay the scam difference or leave what they've already paid on the table. What they are doing is illegal and ethically wrong. Do not consider living here...run from this place as fast as you can.
I moved to Lugano from out of state a little over a year ago. They made the entire process of moving over 1500 miles away from home so smooth and easy. I was able to sign all the documents and put down deposits online. Roberto and Mia were awesome at communication, and they kept me informed the entire time. I didn't have the luxury of viewing the apartment in person before moving in, so all I had to go by were the pictures of the apartments online. The pictures are accurate, and the apartments really are lovely. My apartment wasn't ready the day I arrived (they were putting in new flooring), but they put me in one of their furnished guest apartments free of charge and their maintenance team even helped me move my things in when it was ready since I had to cancel my movers for the day I had them scheduled. All maintenance requests I have put in have been addressed very quickly- most of the time the very next day. There is always plenty of parking outside and in the garage. The garage (one space is included with rent) is super convenient when it's snowing or the weather is bad. Having a liquor store, coffee shop, and pizza place in the complex is also very convenient! I was looking for a house to rent before my lease was up here (I really wanted a yard for my dog), but there just isn't anything in this area that is more affordable right now. Because of this, I decided to sign another year lease. My only complaints are that I do have very noisy upstairs neighbors, but this is really just a regular part of apartment living. Also, people have gotten very bad about picking up after their dogs lately. I have a dog myself, and I am almost constantly dodging pet waste when I walk her. I have heard some people complain that the doggy stations don't always have bags for waste, but I just buy my own that I have attached to her leash so I know I always have a way to pick up after her. (This is really just a part of being a decent, responsible person and pet owner!) The pet waste issue is something that is not easily controlled by management, but they do everything in their power to enforce the rules. I do wish the "dog park" was more secure as well. Even though it is fenced, there are no gates at the entrances, so dogs can easily run in and out. Overall, my experience has been very positive and the negative issues I have are pretty minor. I am really glad to call Lugano home!
I recently move in to Lugano a cherry creek managed by Michelson Realty Company LLC. From the day that I entered the leasing office there was a feel of excitement that I have never felt before. To give you a little back ground I am ex-military and have lived in a lot of apartment communities. In fact, I have stayed at Lugano at Cherry Creek previously when it was managed by Riverstone Residential. I was at the time one of the original tenants at the property. I fell in love with the property at that time but was truly unhappy with the Leasing staff. So my wife and I moved out due to the staff. I heard that the property changed hand a couple of time since we moved out so once it was time for another move one of my first choices was Lugano. We called and spoke with a Leasing Agent by the name of Roberto. He was extremely helpful and friendly. When we arrived for our appointment. Roberto said welcome home. He treated us as if we were long lost family had just come back. He really seemed invested in our enjoyment of the different floor plans offering really good ideas of where to put things even before we had put ink to paper. It was great. My wife and I spoke to each about how great of a Leasing agent Roberto was and was a little nervous about what we would get from other staff members. Then I met Cherise another extraordinary leasing agent who calm friendly demeanor make you feel very relaxed and at home. 2 for 2 at this point my wife and I were at this point sold. We moved in and of course with moving in we had a few hiccups that happen with any property you move into. I at that point walked in the leasing office to ask a question and was greeted by who I thought was a third leasing agent. Mia was so nice and very helpful and very accommodating. Not until a couple of week later during a casual conversation with Roberto did I find out that Mia was not a leasing agent but actually Property Manager. I now realized why the supporting cast Roberto and Cherise are so phenomenal. Their example is the same. Michelson Realty you have a great staff and I truly recommend Lugano @ Cherry Creek as anyone’s next home.
I love this apartment community. The apartments are beautiful and it's centrally located to everything that I need. You get the feeling of being in your own little village. It doesn't hurt to have a liquor store, cleaners, and shopping mart on site either!
This is my first apartment I have ever lived in alone. I always think back to that scene in St. Elmos Fire when one of the main characters describes making a PB&J and how much better it feels to do it in her own apartment.... well that scene says it all! I love my complex and the management taht controls it. The pool is beautiful, well kept and always a good time. The apartments themselves are also beautiful. I have nothing bad to say!
